It’s San Diego Climate Week, which means lots of sustainability focused events to attend throughout the county. This week, the region is also hosting an Indigenous wellness conference, a stroll down El Cajon Boulevard and a fundraiser for Detention Resistance.

Oct. 1
San Diego Climate Week: The first ever San Diego Climate Week launched Wednesday with more than 100 events aimed toward increasing sustainability and climate change awareness. From Oct. 1-8, San Diegans can choose more than 100 events to attend throughout the county, including four, free anchor events. Times and locations vary. See more details here.

ICE Out of San Diego: A coalition of local organizations is hosting a protest against Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity every Thursday in front of the Edward J. 2025 Catalyst Annual Conference: Catalyst of San Diego & Imperial is hosting its annual conference to gather funders, nonprofit leaders and community organizers. Native American Health and Wellness Conference: Southern Indian Health Council is hosting its annual wellness conference in the Oak Ballroom at the Viejas Casino & Resort. Stroll the Boulevard: El Cajon Boulevard Business Improvement Association is hosting Stroll the Boulevard Little Saigon, an event with local vendors, food and drink special, live music and art. Rocky Horror Picture Show: Crazed Imaginations hosts screenings and shadowcast performances of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" at the La Paloma Theatre in Encinitas every Friday in October. Peace Vigil for Palestine: CODEPINK San Diego, Palestine Pals and other local activism groups put on a weekly peace vigil to advocate for peace in Gaza and other distressed nations every Saturday in Ocean Beach. The group invites attendees to wear pink and bring peace-themed posters. Community Canvas Day: Viet Voices, Mid-City CAN, San Diego API Coalition, and LAOSD are leading a day of canvassing to help local businesses know their rights if Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrives. Dine and Donate: The Cempazuchitl's Library is hosting a fundraiser with Detention Resistance in San Diego and 805 UndocuFund in the Central Coast at the Llamas Taqueria in National City. Latine Pride: The San Diego LGBTQ+ Latine Coalition is hosting its fifth annual Latine Pride at the Soap Factory. Rise Up for Gaza: The San Diego chapter of the Palestinian Youth Movement is leading a demonstration to call for the end of genocide in Palestine and sanctions against Israel. Queer Crafternoon: As a part of the SDSU Pride Center's Queer Crafternoon series, attendees will have the chance to make their own DIY decor.
