San Diegans can choose from weekend events including a yoga and dance workout set to the music of “Rent,” Panther Day featuring a self-defense class, a book fair in North Park and a South Park Shop Local crafters market.
There are also some events honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day and early ways to celebrate Día de los Muertos throughout the county.

Native Pathways T-shirt Workshop: Native Pathways is leading a workshop for youth ages 10 to 18 on how t-shirts have been used in Indigenous communities as a medium for cultural expression, humor and sovereignty. ‘Rent’ Dance Sculpt Yoga: Choreographer and yoga instructor Tamara Rodriguez is leading a workout class blending music, yoga and strength-based sculpting to music from “Rent” at New Village Arts. Water and Kindness Free Store: Every Saturday, Water and Kindness hosts a free store at Popup Winona where visitors can donate items or get needed supplies.
