Oceanside Plein Air Festival: The Oceanside Museum of Art hosts its third annual Oceanside Plein Air Festival with a week of paint outs, workshops and networking. This year’s featured artists include Drew Bandish, Gia Moody, Ken Goldman and Lorraine Marie Cote. Sept. 6-13, Festival times and locations vary throughout Oceanside.
Sycuan Powwow: The Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation is holding its annual powwow at the Sycuan Casino and Resort. The three-day, gathering features dancing, singing, socializing, crafts, arts and food. Sept. 12-14, 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., 5577 Dehesa Road, El Cajon, CA 92019
Del Mar Wine + Food Festival: This year is the third anniversary of the five-day celebration of food and wine in Del Mar. The schedule includes a Ramey wine dinner with Chefs Marc Murphy, Jackson Kalb and Jason McLeod in the Croquet Cottage at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe; and a two-day grand tasting at Surf Sports Park. Family Gardening Workshop: Mundo Gardens and the Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center will host a free family gardening workshop at the Paradise Creek Community Garden. Attendees will learn how to garden and have the opportunity to plant something. All ages are welcome and no registration is required. Peace Vigil for Palestine: CODEPINK San Diego, Palestine Pals and other local activism groups host a weekly peace vigil to advocate for peace in Gaza and beyond every Saturday in Ocean Beach. The group invites attendees to wear pink and bring peace-themed posters.
